I hate to say it but there will be NO PASSAGE this week! I am sorry! Emma and I are taking a daddy/daughter trip to visit a friend in Alabama. We leave Thursday and will return Sunday night! I will definitely miss you guys! I really look forward to Thursday nights and it's not just the Wildberry Smoothie! I hope you have a great weekend. Let's make plans to go out for lunch together after church on Sunday, October 12th! Good times!
Also, I am hoping that you have signed up to help out with Safe House? This is going to be a great night to be light in our community and I hope that you will take advantage of the opportunity. I know Ms. Kathie definitely needs as much help as possible. Let's step up and connect with our community!
See You Next Week!

Soul Food
It's hard to believe that 7 years ago today we saw that horrific attack on our United States that is now known as 9/11. So many people walked away from that tragedy with a hunger within them for something more, something deeper, something soulful, something spiritual. Even today that hunger for something else is ever present in their lives. That's why tonight we are starting a new series called, SOUL FOOD or JUNK FOOD. Over the next few weeks we are going to be taking a look at different cults and religions that people are munching on in an attempt to feed their cravings - what we need to know about them and what we can we learn from them. I hope that you will plan to join us and bring a friend with you!Wednesday, August 27, 2008
Wildberry Smoothies!
I can't believe we are getting ready to have week 3 of Passage! I got to tell you that I am really having a great time getting to know all you passage fans! Each week I look forward to our time together. As you know, last week we started connecting the dots to God's will for our lives. As I was preparing for tomorrow night I was surprised to find that people are looking forward to discovering God's will for their lives just as much as I look forward to my Wildberry Smoothie every Thursday night (only one more day). Yeh - if you were to Google "God's Will" you would get over 3 million hits! People want to know about God's will! The big take-a-away last week was that while God is definitely interested in the BIG things of life and He is equally interested in the everyday little things of our lives too...why? Because God is relational and like any other relationship the small things are just as important as the big events! This week we will continue to look at God's will for our every day life. Well, get your ya-ya's to Passage and together we will discover how we can unveil God's will for our every day life! It's going to be good. I can already taste my Wildberry Smoothie! See ya at Passage.

The First Passage Was Amazing!
I just got home from the first passage and I thought it was a really good night. We had a good crowd there and we talked about why we need Passage? The vision for Passage is to become a place where young singles can connect with God, connect with others and connect with our community. The driving force behind Passage is to become a place where we get to know God in new ways and to connect with old friends and new friends.
As we connect with our community we are going to be helping a new church called Riverhills Fellowship Church and help them hand out invites for their first public worship service! We'll meet at the church at 9am and be done by 12:30!
I can't wait till next week! Have a great weekend and we'll see you next Thursday!

August 14th is a BIG DAY!
I am sitting here in my office thinking about all the things I should be doing but can't because I am looking forward to Passage! In one week there will finally be a connection point for all of our young singles (18-30). If you haven't heard yet, we will be meeting at Cafe Cabaret in downtown Haines City every Thursday night from 6:30 to 8pm! If you can't be there right at 6:30 just come when you can! Make sure that you bring some friends with you as well! During our connection time with God we will be taking a look at some of the "Tough Sayings" of Jesus. Some of those weird passages in the Bible that make you go, "What you talking about Willis?" Hope to see you there! Don't forget a few bucks to buy some coffee or drinks or something!

Good News...we now have a location for Passage! Starting August 14th at 6:30pm we will be meeting at Cafe Cabaret in downtown Haines City (31 6th Street). Make sure to invite all your young single friends to join us as together we connect with God, connect with others and serve our world! We will be taking a look at the tough sayings of Jesus! Make sure to bring a couple of dollars for some coffee, a smoothie or a soda! It's going to be good! See you there.
